Trade Counter Assistant

We are recruiting with an immediate start for a Trade Counter Assistant to join a busy, very friendly and team orientated client based close to Aylesham, Nr Canterbury.

This is a role that requires covering the Trade Counter along with all other Warehouse duties and possibly delivery driving. Ideally you will come from an engineering sector background.

This is a permanent role whereby you will work initially thought RSFL (the agency) and on successful completion of the 12-week probation period, you will transfer over to a permanent contract with our client

Start date: Immediate

Hours: Mon – Fri 08:00 to 17:00

Salary: £18,000

All About the Role!

• Serving customers at the Trade Counter
• Manual Assembly of products
• Pricing and processing orders
• Allocating work to Service Engineers and updating progress reports to customers
• Computer use for product look up – stock locations -order processing
• Up-selling and cross-selling of all products and services
• Stock locations and order picking
• All paperwork and administrative duties linked  to the role
• Assisting cover with delivery driving as and when needed
• All other general warehouse duties

• Excellent customer services
• Clean driving licence and own transport
• Ability to sell other services and products
• Good IT and administrative Skills
• Good products knowledge ideally from a mechanical engineering background
• Attention to detail and data input
• Manual assembly
• Experienced in Stock control as well as picking and packing
• Ability to follow written work instructions and communicate progress to management and customers
• Good communication skills & a confident friendly manner are essential
• Good numeracy and literacy
• Ideally have had previous experience in a similar role
