Seasonal opportunities:

 

We are once again working alongside Folkestone & Hythe District Council in relation to a number of seasonal opportunities which have become available.

 

Applications are therefore invited from individuals with a strong work ethic, who are not afraid of hard work, reliable team players, who are available for an immediate start and these roles should continue until the end of September, possibly October, depending on the weather.

 

The work is regular, full time hours, weekly pay, £8.21 per hour, with holiday pay – what more could you ask for!

 

Working within the Grounds Maintenance Team, we have vacancies for:

 

Coastal Park Assistant Park Keepers

Combination of basic gardening work, grass cutting, planting, cutting back etc., plus raking over the children’s sand play area, general litter picking, emptying bins, BBQ bins and generally keeping an eye on the Coastal Park area, reporting any potential problems to your Supervisor, ensuring the park remains in pristine condition at all times.

12 hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern

Hours: roughly 7.30am – 8.30pm

Will include occasional weekends, depending on when your 4 days on falls,  and bank holidays paid at the normal rate

Driving licence desirable

 

General Seasonal Operatives

A combination of basic gardening work, assisting with the maintenance of grassed areas (grass cutting), working on flower beds, weeding, cutting back shrubs, roses etc.

A reasonable understanding of plant knowledge considered an advantage, although you will be working under supervision.

Also required to use grounds maintenance related equipment so any experience using industrial strimmers, mowers (including sit-ons) or any other mechanical plant useful.

Hours: 37 hours per week, 7.30am – 4pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm so nice early finish!

Driving licence desirable

 

Coastal Park Litter Pickers

Litter picking, emptying bins and generally removing any debris/rubbish from designated areas ensuring the Coastal Park is kept looking pristine!

Hours of work:

Up to 37 hours per week, 11am start – 7pm finish (may vary slightly depending on the weather)

May include some weekend and bank holiday work.
