The Must Haves:
The role is responsible for oversight of our clients Third Party Logistics and their Inventory Management Team of 6, so we are looking for applicants with both stock control and people management experience.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Training/Experience we are seeking:
Good knowledge and experience of Inventory Management and 3PL operations
Great interpersonal skills
Experience team manager with a good track record of developing your team members
Good numeracy skills
Digitally competent and confident (ideally with experience of using SAP)
Commercial awareness
Strong customer focus
Team Player
Specific Responsibilities:
You will be the key contact for 3PL inventory managers
You will be required to take ownership of inventory, taking ownership of annual inventory checks via external auditors with support of local logistics lead
Good IT skills and ideally SAP for inventory management and warehousing
Management, engagement and development of your team of direct reports via regular 1:1’s and agreed development plans
Position Highlights:
The role reports to the European Logistics Manager and your overall responsibilities will be to ensure all 3PL partners provide their contracted service in accordance with agreed perpetual inventor checks, KPI’s and regular review meetings
Ensuring inventory in each location (ie. at 3PL’s sites and within company sites) is correctly managed y each 3PL and excellent level of book to book accuracy, is maintained between 3PL and company systems, ensuring audit ready at all times
Management of team of 6 stock controllers
Continuous Improvement of both 3PL service and stock control function ie. via EDI, automation of workflows
Invoice approval for 3PL related logistics charges
Special Relationships will include:
Daily liaison with logistics colleagues
Daily liaison with 3PL
Regular collaboration with Finance teams especially regarding annual inventory process
Collaboration with IT team to streamline data exchange
Ensuring all stock transactions are SOX compliant
