This is a superb opportunity for a school leaver who has perhaps just finished their A Levels or with good GCSE grades, who is interested in pursuing a career within the insurance claims industry where outstanding training and support will be provided and in a non sales.
In order to get a thorough understanding of the Claims Department, you would start in an “Operations Assistant” role for a few weeks, which would entail handling incoming calls from customers making the initial insurance claim enquiry, logging their claim information on the system, where accuracy and attention to detail is paramount, whilst all the time, delivering outstanding levels of customer service and basically ensuring the claims “journey” is a positive one for the client, whilst always working to the principals of Treating Customers Fairly, or as you would wish to be treated.
After this initial introduction to the Department, you would then train as a Claims Handler/Assessor but in order to be successful in both the Operations Assistant and Claims Handler/Assessor positions, you must have strong call handling and customer service skills, plus of course, have the ability to learn on the job – fast!
