Great opportunity for an instantly recognised key employer in Dover for a Purchasing & Stores Assistant.
This is a dual purpose role where you will be required to provide both Stores and Administrative support to the Purchasing and Stores Team, in the heart of Dover.
This is a Monday to Friday role, 37 hours per week and a favourable hourly rate of £10.00 per hour, is available for the right candidate.
We are ideally looking for a self-motivated individual with the ability to work on their own initiative.
Previous purchasing administration experience and/or stores experience required, so there is some flexibility on the successful candidate.
Competency with MS Office applications.
A Counterbalance Forklift certificate would be considered an advantage but not essential.
What will the duties include?
General administrative tasks relating to tendering, quotations, invoice processing etc.
Assisting with unloading and dealing with delivery drivers.
Packaging of goods for return, calibration and dispatch.
Issuing goods from picking lists and at the stores counter, dealing with general stores enquiries.
Filing away documents such as delivery notes etc.
Entering information onto the purchasing system.
Support with the weekly stock take.
