We are currently recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturing client and employer of choice in the area for a Senior Analytical Chemist for the Quality Assurance Department.
Reporting to the Chemistry Manager within a manufacturing environment (non-food) where the primary purpose of the role is to analyse finished products and raw materials to the company’s specifications, meeting statutory, regulatory and customer requirements within Good Control Laboratory Practices (GCLP) and Analytical Quality Control (AQC) framework.
Educational Background:
Although there is some degree of flexibility, we are ideally looking for an individual who has already gained some experience within an Analytical Lab with a Degree in Chemistry or a relevant Scientific Qualification.
Experience with any of the following also deemed helpful:
cGMP, HPLC, CAPA, Change Control, Validation of Products and Equipment
You will also:
Test raw materials and incoming materials according to the appropriate specifications
Perform in process checks on bulk products pre and post filtration as necessary
Ensure the lab equipment is regularly calibrated
Prepare and maintain a range of standard solutions and bench reagents used in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of incoming samples within the cGLP framework
Record all results as per cGMP standards
Assist the Chemistry Lab Manager in the validation of new and existing test methods and in the investigation of specification samples/batches.
Review trending and analysis of data
Stock take and maintain adequate supplies of all Lab consumables
In the absence of the Lab Manager:
Notify QA of any failures in QC testing as required
Sign off QC records
Release raw materials
Review of Analytical Chemist Lab books and sign off
