Sales Account Executive - Education
We are looking for a Strong Sales Account Executive to work for a well-established solutions company based in Ashford Kent, to act as an interface between clients and the company, providing a consistently high standard of service. Coming from an educational, teaching background could be beneficial but not essential.
All About The Role
To develop an understanding of the client’s business and their requirements to enable proactive identification of opportunities for profitable business development within the company and the group. Through proactive and reactive activity acquire new customers and reactivate lapsed accounts.
Foster long-term relationships with your portfolio of clients, ensuring that their direct marketing requirements are met in full, on time and within cost, whilst ensuring profit opportunities for the business are maximised. Provide the highest possible standards of quality service and sector knowledge.
Proactively contribute ideas to generate enquiries and leads with the Sales and Client Services Director, suggesting and implementing marketing and business development initiatives.To be a Centre of excellence in your knowledge of the sector and marketing practice that will support your client’s success in their campaigns
Ensure that client and prospect details are accurately maintained and that any associated profiling or other coding required against individual contacts or establishments, is applied consistently and accurately. Prepare written quotations, using the software in a timely and professional manner, discussing options, recommending solutions, whilst maximising profit opportunities wherever possible.
Ensure regular contact with clients to review satisfaction and maintain knowledge of future requirements to aid planning and retention. To participate in all relevant trade exhibitions
All About you
Able to quickly build relationships with clients initially over the telephone and manage client’s expectations.
Teaching or educational background or mailing services background (not essential)
Ability to use own initiative and ‘think on your feet’.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and multi task.
Experienced in the use of windows applications with particular reference to Excel and Word.
Computer literate as several different in-house systems are also used.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Good time management and organisational skills.
Able to prioritise work and deal with several issues at the same time.
Team player, ready to help colleagues and consider the needs of the rest of the team.
Excellent problem solving.
Attention to detail.
Ability to spot a sales opportunity.
Must be able to travel to place of work in Ashford and be able to attend 2 annual events in London & Birmingham, which could involve overnight stay. Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard working hours, particularly at peak demand periods throughout the year.
