Fabulous new instruction for a Project Buyer on a permanent basis with a key manufacturing client in the area. This exceptional opportunity has become available due to an internal promotion.

Applications are invited from individuals who have similar experience, who have worked within FMCG, Pharma, Food Supplements, Cosmetics, Personal Care and/or Medical Devices sectors.

Working within an established team of 8, the Purchasing Team supports both their UK and French businesses and this position deals with 3rd party suppliers. French fluency could also be an advantage but is NOT considered essential for this particular position.

The Purchasing management team are keen to attract individuals who have shown a desire to develop their career, so a CIPS qualification, or perhaps studying towards, could be considered a real advantage.

The Key highlights for this position are as follows:-

• 4 years + purchasing experience
• Experience of third party vendor management is key
• Communication, relationship building and team working are also key – clearly externally but also for internal project groups.

As a member of a professional purchasing team, you will source, negotiate and contract for specified brand categories on behalf of user departments and develop effective business partnerships with suppliers and internal customers.

Main responsibilities:

You will support and manage the commercial relationships between the New Product Introduction project team and external suppliers, on specific project so that customer needs are met, whilst maintaining effective business relationships with suppliers and customers.

Supply GAP Analysis.

Supplier negotiations and regular meetings with suppliers on and off site.

Manage KPI’s for portfolio change.

Manage European Rejects and Complaints issues for the portfolio in charge.

Cover for the 3^rd Party Purchasing Manager as required.

Please note there is a small element of European travel required with this position (Ireland, Spain, France).
