We are currently recruiting for a manufacturing employer of choice within the area for a Procurement Co-ordinator.
This role is not just a Purchasing role, but much, much more and a genuine opportunity for a general Supply Chain professional to apply their skills, knowledge and overall experience gained to date, within an exceptionally busy Procurement function and stretch themselves, even further.
You may, as an example, have worked within Supply Chain in one capacity or another and feel ready to embrace a fresh opportunity within Procurement and adapt yourself accordingly, drawing on your analytical skills for example, to look at cost savings, pricing analysis etc?
The role will be wide and varied with no 2 days the same!
We are looking for someone with an abundance of energy, someone highly motivated with fresh ideas, who is willing to go that extra mile, with the tenacity to challenge the team, challenge the department, with bags of initiative – all at the same time!
Therefore, strong analytical and IT skills, in particular Excel, are an absolute must and considered key to the role. Any experience using SAP would be a huge advantage.
Whilst there are 9 individuals in the main Purchasing Team, you will be working within a smaller team of 2.
Driving licence essential as you may be required to occasionally visit a Supplier.
The role is being presented initially on a fixed term basis for 6 months, with an immediate start preferred!
