We have a further vacancy for a Microbiologist with a key manufacturing client in the area.
We are more than happy to receive applications from individuals at all levels for this role as there is some degree of flexibility available. Consequently, more in depth training would be provided to individuals with less experience and the salary would be depending on your level.
The main focus of the role is to perform Microbiological testing of In-Process, Water and Finished Product samples and to perform environmental monitoring.
Working within a cleanroom facility, all work must be conducted to company specifications, meeting statutory, regulatory and customer requirements within the Good Laboratory Control Practice (GCLP) framework and working to company SOP’s.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level OR have a relevant science related qualification, together with some experience of working within a Microbiology lab environment.
Essential Functions of the position includes but is not limited to:
Growth, Counting & Identification of Micro-organisms.
Bioburden testing of In-Process Water and Raw Material Samples
Sterility testing
Microbiology media quality control
Processing of Biological Indicators
Environmental Monitoring of Cleanrooms for both viable and non-viable particulates
Reading of Media Files
Recording all results as per cGMP standards
General upkeep of the laboratory
The hours of work will be 8am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday with free parking available.
