An exceptional opportunity with an employer of choice, a global manufacturing organisation who is looking for a further Demand Planner, on a permanent basis, to join their ever expanding team!
The main purpose of the role is to maintain the ongoing 12 month forecast for UK business, to support the entry, storage and generation or forecasts and to produce accurate KPI’s.
You will develop a thorough understanding of Domestic business, to develop and improve sales forecasts, working proactively with both the commercial team and their distributors,
In addition, you will lead improvement in the accuracy of sales forecasts, liaising with both commercial and operational functions, working with a cross-functional team.
The Demand Planner plays a key role in the Sales & Operational Planning Process in Europe, and improvements in the process itself, format and content of information used.
You will work closely with Supply Chain teams with close liaison with the commercial team in UK and France.
Although the position is based in Folkestone, travel to Paris may be required and therefore some degree of French language skills would be an advantage, although not essential.
Key Skills we are seeking in an individual:-
You will assist the Demand Planning Manager in general projects and have the ability to deputise as required
Knowledge of Demand Planning and Supply Chain processes essential (ideally with 1 year + experience)
Experience in a forecasting environment, using for example; SAP or APO
Analytical reporting experience also required
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Take ownership of the demand plans for the allocated business area
Create presentation material for the S & OP meetings in the UK
