We are currently recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturing client and employer of in the area for an Analytical Chemist.
This position is being presented on affixed term for 12 months.
Reporting to the Chemistry Manager within a manufacturing environment (non-food) where the primary purpose of the role is to analyse finished products and raw materials to the company’s specifications, meeting statutory, regulatory and customer requirements within Good Control Laboratory Practices (GCLP) and Analytical Quality Control (AQC) framework.
We are ideally looking for an individual with 2/3 years’ experience in an Analytical Lab although there is some flexibility but either a Degree in Chemistry, or a relevant qualification and experience is required.
You will also:
Test raw materials and incoming materials according to the appropriate specifications
Perform in process checks on bulk products pre and post filtration as necessary
Ensure the lab equipment is regularly calibrated
Prepare and maintain a range of standard solutions and bench reagents used in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of incoming samples within the cGLP framework
Record all results as per cGMP standards
Assist the Chemistry Lab Manager in the validation of new and existing test methods and in the investigation of specification samples/batches
In addition we are also looking for experience in a combination of any of the following:
cGMP, HPLC, CAPA, Change Control, Validation of Products and Equipment
